Record

Rockford Riveters

Minnesota Vixen

Saturday

April 14th

7:00 PM

WIN 44-0

SUMMARY

Running backs Connie Webb, Zan Washington, and Missy McAlpin ran for over 350 yards and 6 touchdowns on offense. On defense, safety Caitlin Smock returned an interception over 72-yards for a touchdown, and the defense held Rockford to less than 75 yards of total offense while getting the shutout. First win this season!

1-0

Madison Cougars

Minnesota Vixen

Saturday

April 28th

12:00 Noon

LOST 0-15

SUMMARY

The Madison defense held the Vixen offense in check for most of the game, and even scored a safety. The Vixen defense made 3 big goal line stands in the first half, but couldn't contain the Madison running game in the second half allowing 2 touchdown runs and an extra point kick.

1-1

Minnesota Vixen

Rockford Riveters

Saturday

May 5th

5:00 PM

WON 32-0

SUMMARY

The Vixen offense rushed for 2 touchdowns and threw for 2 in the 32-0 victory on the road against Rockford. Zan Washington had 2 touchdowns (and 1 punt return TD called back on a penalty). Red Bryant dominated on defense with 10 solo tackles, 1 sack, and a forced fumble. Rockford had negative yards of total offense.

2-1

Minnesota Vixen

Madison Cougars

Saturday

May 12th

Time 7:00 PM

LOST 0-20

SUMMARY

The Cougars returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and that was all they needed in their shutout win. They also passed and ran for a touchdown. The Vixen offense moved the ball better this time, but they still could not get to the endzone. A couple missed assignments on defense also hurt the Vixen.

2-2

Wisconsin Warriors

Minnesota Vixen

Saturday

May 19th

8:00 PM

LOST 6-40

SUMMARY

The Warriors took it to the Vixen defense with 4 passing touchdowns and 1 rushing touchdown, most of them over 30-yards. The Vixen offense moved the ball well in their only scoring drive (a touchdown run by quarterback Nikki Beyer). But the big story was the weather. Straight line winds and heavy rain delayed warm-ups, and lightning delayed the game at halftime.
